Fall Coffee Release from Africa
Share
We are really excited to share two incredible coffees that just arrived at Soul Caffeine: Tanzania Peaberry and Kenya Kichwa Tembo. Each one tells a story of heritage, craft, and flavor that perfectly captures the spirit of East Africa.
Tanzania Peaberry
Grown on the lush slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, our Tanzania Peaberry showcases the bright, fruit-forward flavors that have made East African coffees so loved around the world. Most coffee cherries hold two seeds, known as flat beans, but a small percentage form only a single, rounded seed called a peaberry. Many believe this unique shape allows the bean to roast more evenly and develop a richer, more concentrated flavor.
This washed peaberry bursts with notes of golden raisin, toffee, and cocoa, offering a lively tart acidity and fruit-like sweetness that make it both balanced and exciting. Each sip is clean, bright, and layered, reflecting the care of smallholder farmers who continue Tanzania’s proud coffee-growing tradition.
Kenya Kichwa Tembo
Named after the Swahili phrase for “elephant head,” Kichwa Tembo represents both strength and grace in the cup. This washed Kenyan coffee embodies everything we love about coffees from this region: vibrant fruit clarity, balanced sweetness, and a smooth, wine-like acidity that gives it depth and elegance.
With flavors of dried fruit, raspberry, and molasses, Kenya Kichwa Tembo delivers a refined, complex profile that lingers beautifully from start to finish. It is a bold yet polished coffee that showcases why Kenya remains one of the most celebrated origins in the world.
Why We’re Excited
Both of these coffees highlight the best of African coffee craftsmanship. They are expressive, complex, and bursting with natural sweetness, yet each tells a unique story of its own. Whether you are drawn to the concentrated depth of the Tanzania Peaberry or the refined structure of the Kenya Kichwa Tembo, you are in for something special.
Come taste what makes these new arrivals so extraordinary. We can’t wait to share them with you.
