Celebrating 9 Years of Soul Caffeine
If you would've asked me in year one of Soul Caffeine if we would make it to 9 years, I'm not sure I would've said yes. For one, 9 years is a long time. It may not seem that way, but right now it feels like an eternity =). Soul Caffeine's anniversary is always a great moment for us to stop and reflect on how grateful we are for this journey and the people that have walked it with us.
If you want a picture that sums up 9 years, this is one of my favorites. To humble brag on my wife Mallory, she has been so much of the muscle behind Soul Caffeine. She's one of the strongest people I know and we wouldn't be where we are today without her creativity and joyfulness. So much of our culture and atmosphere at Soul is rooted in her, whether she's in one of our shops or banging away on her laptop at the office.
We're thankful for our amazing team of managers and baristas and all of the Soul crew over the years. As our customers know very well, we have great folks working at Soul. Shout out to Waylon, Trenton, and Krystal and their teams for leading our cafes and Taylor for rocking with me in the roastery. And to all the baristas along the way, especially our first baristas Darby and Brooke who cheerfully suffered through us having no clue how to run a coffee shop in those early days. Thank you. We're better at running coffee shops now...I think.
And to our wonderful customers and community. You are why we started Soul Caffeine and we're grateful for the opportunity to serve. We've built relationships with so many people over the years, thank you for allowing us to spend some time with you over coffee. We ❤️ Coffee and People and we ❤️ you.
Soul Caffeine planted many seeds last year and we're looking forward to seeing them grow. We opened our Spanish Fort location last February with our new roastery. We've expanded our roastery business into wholesale, selling coffee to our coffee shops and to customers across the country. And we launched a fundraising brand called Cheerful Bean. We love helping people so much we've created a new brand dedicated to helping good causes raise money. We've supported schools, churches, youth programs, and non-profits over the years and we're expanding these efforts through Cheerful Bean.
We're excited for the future and what this 9th year will bring.
