Meet the Team - Natalie Upton
Hi everyone! We’ve gotten away from our blog for a while but we’re getting back in the saddle. We would like to kick it back off with a new series of Meet the Team! We love to introduce you to our baristas and let you get to know the smiling faces that carefully craft your drinks each day. This first barista we want to spotlight comes with a very exciting announcement! We would like to introduce you to Natalie Upton, who has just joined the management team at Soul as our first ever General Manager! Natalie has recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Communications at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Nat joined us here at Soul in the fall of 2016, and what an awesome addition to our team this lady has been! She jumped right in and quickly became a top barista. She makes a MEAN latte and I have to brag on her a little - she is one of only a few of us that have managed to make decent latte art from coconut milk (the latte artist’s nemesis). A health and fitness enthusiast, Nat can give great advice to anyone looking to replace dairy milks for alternatives and tell you about which ones pair best with which coffees. She also has several personal creations that are healthier versions of some our popular drinks – many of you have come to love the appropriately named Nat-inator, her twist on one of our protein shakes, the Governator. Come on by and let her make one for you!
We’ve asked Nat to share with us some of her favorite things here at Soul:
Favorite Menu Drink – So Good (salted caramel cold brew)
Favorite Personal Creation – Triple Iced Breve Latte, in a medium (A breve latte is made with half and half instead of regular milk.)
What I enjoy about working at SC – “The relationships I get to build with customers and our Soul Caffeine family are most definitely my favorite part. On top of that the mission of Soul Caffeine is close to my heart, our tip jar allows us to love on different people who are facing difficult times in their lives. It allows the wonderful art of making coffee and loving people really come to life.”
Thanks Nat! And thank you Soul Caffeine community for stopping by to meet Natalie today! Come by and say hello!
